CoD: Warzone And MW3 Patch Notes Include Nerfs For The RPK And Superi 46

As a seasoned Modern Warfare veteran with countless hours under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of relief and dread upon reading this latest update. On one hand, the increased consistency in lower arm damage for the STG44 is a welcomed change, making those close-quarters battles just a tad more fair. On the other hand, the nerf to my beloved RPK with the JAK Cataclysm Conversion Kit has left me mourning the loss of my go-to long-range weapon.


As a long-time player of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series, I am always eagerly awaiting updates to keep the game fresh and exciting. The recent patch for both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is no exception. The weapon balancing they’ve implemented, particularly on the Superi 46 and the overpowered build of the RPK light machine gun, will undoubtedly make a significant difference in my gaming experience. I can’t wait to jump back into the action and see how these changes have affected the gameplay dynamics.

In the latest update for Modern Warfare 3, modifications have been made to the limited-time CoD Warrior game mode during Season 5. This update rectifies a problem where players were instantly killed during the Revive mini-game, and the Revive game will no longer be triggered if a team has less than two players. Furthermore, players who are downed during the Revive mini-game will no longer receive inactivity warnings.

In the updated STG44 assault rifle, the developer has boosted the damage inflicted on the lower left arm from a multiplier of 1.2 times to 1.3 times for better consistency. This means that whether you hit the left or right lower arm, the damage will be roughly the same.

In Season 5, the boost in the Cor-45 pistol’s shooting speed has made it a favored weapon. However, the developers have announced that they are modifying the XRK IP-V2 conversion kit for this gun, as it was unintentionally allowing a faster firing rate than designed.

In the latest update, we’ve fixed two issues. Firstly, there was a problem where the last player leaving a game was immediately placed in another game without getting to see their After-Game Summary first. Secondly, we found and closed a loophole related to safes, which some players were using to carry more weapons than allowed.

On the Warzone front, the upcoming update is relatively compact, however, it incorporates significant adjustments to weapon balance.

In the latest update, changes have been made to the JAK Cataclysm conversion kit for the RPK light machine gun, which previously turned it into a highly potent single-kill weapon in battle royale. Now, this update decreases the damage, range of damage, and headshot multiplier of the conversion kit, transforming it so that it requires three bullets to eliminate an opponent at maximum range, provided at least one bullet hits the target’s head.

Although the Superi 46 submachine gun has faced some adjustments (nerfs), it remains a preferred choice for close combat in Warzone. However, an upcoming update seems designed to lessen its appeal by reducing the weapon’s damage capacity. Specifically, the near-mid damage is being lowered from 29 to 26, and the minimum damage is decreasing from 25 to 20.

In a similar vein, the Cor-45 pistol undergoes the same alteration concerning its XRK IP-V2 conversion kit, as detailed previously, for use in multiplayer scenarios.
