CoD: Black Ops 6 Patch Notes Detail New 10v10 Playlists And Another Recon Combat Specialty Nerf

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions when it comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s latest update. On one hand, I appreciate Treyarch’s diligence in addressing issues and fine-tuning the gameplay experience. The resolution of XP earn rate problems and the patching of exploits in Zombies are much-needed improvements that will undoubtedly enhance my gaming sessions.

An update was released for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on November 8th. This update contains various fixes, not only in the multiplayer and Zombies modes but also a further adjustment to the overpowered bonus of the Recon Combat Specialty. Additionally, a playlist update has been implemented, increasing the number of players and making multiplayer matches more intense and chaotic.

In simpler terms, the special ability in Black Ops 6’s Recon Combat Specialty temporarily provides players with a vision enhancement after respawning, marking enemy players in red on the map. This feature was excessively strong at the game’s launch, but a subsequent update shortened its effect duration from 2 to 1.5 seconds. Despite this adjustment, it wasn’t effective enough, so Treyarch has now further reduced the highlighted time to only 1 second.

Treyarch has fixed problems related to experience point (XP) earning rates. Specifically, they addressed a problem where the match bonus was incorrectly adjusted across different game modes, and a glitch that prevented match bonuses from being given out consistently in Search and Destroy.

Furthermore, the update introduces changes to the multiplayer game modes in Black Ops 6. The Stakeout map is now included in the playlist rotation. Additionally, a new 10-versus-10 Moshpit playlist has been added, offering a variety of game types such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint on the standard 6-player maps.

In the case of Zombies, the latest update rectified a loophole that enabled specific field upgrade enhancements to last longer than planned, and also addressed a bug where gamers could throw tactical rafts upwards in the map called Terminus.

The full patch notes can be found below, as shared by Activision.
