What to expect from Season 1

With a fresh season coming for Call of Duty, we can expect a brand-new Battle Pass to help us advance our levels. Unfortunately, Activision hasn’t disclosed specifics about this pass yet, though more details should emerge as the release date approaches.

Based on past trends in Call of Duty post-release seasons, it’s probable that this year’s update will feature temporary events, seasonal tasks, and additional weapons to acquire as DLC. Furthermore, if history repeats itself, we can expect Black Ops 6 to integrate with Warzone, bringing in its unique gameplay elements and fresh features to the battle royale mode.

Black Ops 6

In Black Ops 6, we started off with sixteen fresh maps upon launch, and Nuketown was introduced as the initial downloadable content (DLC) map. Yet, there’s more to come, as players can anticipate additional maps becoming accessible during Season 1. Activision has unveiled three new core multiplayer maps for future enjoyment.

  • Extraction is a 6v6 map that is set on a dock with boats and helipads.
  • Hideout is a 6v6 map that features clusters of small buildings and shipping crates.
  • Heirloom takes place inside a museum. This map will be available in 6v6 as well as 2v2 Gunfight.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m excited to share some insider news! Treyarch hinted on their tweet that the three maps we’re getting aren’t the only ones for Season 1. It seems these are just the initial maps, and there’s more in store for us with the midseason update. Can’t wait to explore new terrains!

In the recent launch of the Zombies mode, Liberty Falls and Terminus were included, but there’s exciting news for Season 1 – a third map is on its way! Activision has hinted that this new map will be truly spine-tingling and is expected to drop during the season, possibly with the midseason update.

Warzone

In other words, starting with Season 1, Black Ops 6 will merge with Warzone. This means that elements like its advanced movement capabilities, weapon collection, and novel loadout gear from the game itself will be included. Additionally, this update will eliminate the backpack system that was introduced in MW2, replacing it with the original Warzone’s straightforward loadout style and looting mechanics.

In the updated version, the vast Urzikstan map from Modern Warfare 3 will persist in Warzone, whereas the Resurgence game mode will incorporate a fresh, newly-introduced map called Area 99.

Following a year of playing Ranked Play Resurgence on Rebirth Island, gamers will now transition back to a traditional competitive setting in Warzone. This year, Ranked play is set for Urzikstan, with the new mode due to be introduced following the debut of Season 1.

Furthermore, the upgrade is set to incorporate the iconic Prestige system from Call of Duty, marking a novelty as Warzone will independently offer players a distinct Mastery camouflage progression.

Black Ops 6 recently had an update to nerf overpowered flashbangs and Recon Combat Specialty bonus, and the full patch notes can be found here. For more, you can check out TopMob’s Black Ops 6 campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies reviews.
