Over the weekend of May 2nd and 3rd, RLJE Films and Shudder’s horror film “Clown in a Cornfield,” adapted from Adam Cesare’s novel, will be screened exclusively at drive-ins nationwide. This exclusive drive-in screening occurs before the nationwide theater release on May 9th.

The movie focuses on Quinn (Katie Douglass) and her dad Glenn (Carson MacCormac), who relocate to the peaceful town of Kettle Springs in search of new beginnings. Contrary to their expectations, they stumble upon a troubled community that’s been struggling since the beloved Baypen Corn Syrup Factory was destroyed by fire. As the residents squabble and animosity escalates, a mysterious, grinning character rises from the cornfields, intent on purifying the town through a series of gruesome killings.
In addition to Aaron Abrams, Will Sasso, and Kevin Durand, the cast includes stars. “Clown in a Cornfield” is produced by Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, and John Fischer for Temple Hill Entertainment. This 96-minute slasher film carries an R rating due to its graphic horror violence, frequent use of strong language, and depictions of underage drinking. The movie is an adaptation of the “Clown in a Cornfield” book series, which has produced two sequels: “Clown in a Cornfield II: Frendo Lives” and “Clown in a Cornfield III: The Church of Frendo.
