The new TapCaps keycap collectibles, created by Twitch streamers Clix and Lacy, are already being resold online for much more than their original price.
The first series of Creatures collectible toys launched on February 15, 2026, and cost $11.99 each. They sold out rapidly, so fans began searching for them on resale sites.
Almost immediately after it became available, people started listing the item on eBay, offering to sell it for much more than the retail price – often as preorders or presales.

eBay listings show steep resale markups
Recent eBay sales show that unopened “TapCaps Series 1 Creatures” mystery boxes are being sold for between $39.99 and $60, even though they were listed as pre-orders or available for pre-sale.
A recent sale went through on February 16th for $39.99, with an additional $5.77 for shipping. Another item was listed for $58 plus $8.10 for delivery. Several other new items, all located within the United States, were also available for around $55 to $60.
Some online listings highlighted “RARE TAPCAP” in the title, even though these items were sold as blind boxes – meaning buyers weren’t guaranteed to receive a specific character.

TapCaps are collectible keycaps sold in mystery boxes. Each box contains one character keycap from the first series, which includes seven unique designs. The rarity of each character varies, and you won’t know which one you’ve received until you open the box.
Okay, so this isn’t new, but it’s still crazy. I’ve seen people flipping influencer stuff on eBay for insane prices before. Remember when Prime Hydration first came out? Some of those limited-edition flavors were going for over a grand! It’s wild how much people were willing to pay.
