‘City of Dreams’ Filmmakers Give Away $1 Million in Preview Tickets to Human Trafficking Organizations, Churches and More – Film News in Brief

As someone deeply moved by the power of cinema to bring about change, I find myself utterly captivated by these two announcements. The generosity and commitment shown by John Devaney and the team behind “City of Dreams” is nothing short of inspiring. To give away a million dollars worth of preview tickets to those who need it most, survivors, organizations, and communities, is a testament to their unwavering compassion and dedication to shedding light on this pressing issue.

The creators of the movie “City of Dreams,” a drama about child trafficking, are providing free tickets valued at $1 million to various organizations that support human trafficking victims, survivors, religious institutions like churches, educational establishments such as schools, and individuals who might not have been able to afford watching the film otherwise.

The upcoming movie event, projected to attract over 50,000 attendees, has been made feasible courtesy of a generous donation by John Devaney, the founder of United Capital and Manor House Films. Lucky recipients of tickets will get an exclusive sneak peek of the film starting from Wednesday, a full two days prior to its official debut.

“Director Mohit Ramchandani has created a remarkable, unforgettable film by shining a light on this critical issue and narrating this true story. Such topics demand immediate attention, and we are honored to contribute to raising awareness by offering our platform for the protection and rescue of enslaved children,” expressed Devaney. “We believe America will join us, along with an expanding group of ambassadors and influencers who have committed to backing this film.”
