Chris Evans is bummed he is missing out on all the fun in “Avengers: Doomsday.”
In a recent chat with ScreenRant, Chris Evans (the actor behind Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe across eight films) was asked if he maintains contact with his previous Marvel colleagues, given his absence from “Avengers: Doomsday.” Evans affirmed that they do stay connected, but shared it feels distinct since wrapping up his role in “Avengers: Endgame.
Evans commented, “I regularly interact with them. As a matter of fact, that’s where Pedro Pascal is currently located. It’s disheartening to be separated, I miss being part of the group again. But I’m confident they’re creating something extraordinary, and when it’s released, it will likely be even more enticing, making me feel as though I wasn’t included in the celebration.”

Evans shared, “I frequently communicate with them. In fact, Pedro Pascal is there at this moment. It’s tough being apart. I long to rejoin the group, but I know they’re creating something amazing. When it’s unveiled, it will probably be even more intriguing, making me feel like I wasn’t invited to the event.
In “End Game,” Captain America, portrayed by Evans, becomes too old to wield the star-spangled shield following a time travel journey to return the Infinity Stones. He chooses to live in the past with his beloved Peggy Carter, while in the current era, he hands over the Captain America title to Anthony Mackie’s character, Sam Wilson.
Meanwhile, Evans remains absent, as his “Avengers” comrades Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. are reprising their roles for the film titled “Doomsday.” Interestingly, instead of portraying Iron Man, Downey will assume the role of Doctor Doom, the main antagonist. Joining them in this MCU production are familiar faces like Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Mackie as Captain America.
The movie “Doomsday,” initially scheduled for release on May 1, 2026, has been postponed to December 18, 2026. Its follow-up, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” which was originally set to premiere on May 7, 2027, has also been delayed and will now be shown in theaters on December 17, 2027.
