Chloë Sevigny Joins Jennifer Garner, Regina Hall in ‘Five-Star Weekend’ Peacock Series

Actress Chloë Sevigny has joined the cast for Peacock’s forthcoming TV series based on Elin Hilderbrand’s novel “The Five-Star Weekend.

The series was originally announced in January with Garner in the lead role, while Hall’s casting was announced last week. The official description for the series states:

Title character Hollis Shaw (Garner), renowned for her tantalizing culinary creations, impeccable palate, and friendly disposition, experiences a heart-wrenching tragedy. Struggling to find solace, the loss begins to reveal the fissures in Hollis’s seemingly idyllic existence – the strain in her marriage, the intricacies of her bond with her daughter, and her increasing need for affirmation from her fan base. In a bid to heal and rediscover herself, Hollis contrives a weekend retreat at her Nantucket residence, inviting three friends who span different phases of her life: her early years, twenties, thirties, and an unexpected fifth companion. Amidst opulent coastal surroundings, they embark on a journey of growth that surpasses their expectations as barriers are broken down and hidden truths are unveiled.

Sevigny will appear in the series regular role of Tatum McKenzie.

On television, Sevigny is recognized for her frequent partnerships with Ryan Murphy. She featured in several seasons of “American Horror Story” and the second season of “Feud”, both on FX. More recently, she worked with Murphy again on the second season of “Monster” on Netflix, portraying Kitty Menendez. Noteworthy roles outside of these collaborations include her part in the film “Boys Don’t Cry” and the HBO series “Big Love.” She received an Academy Award and Golden Globe nomination for her performance in “Boys Don’t Cry,” and won a Golden Globe for “Big Love.” Additionally, she has acted in shows like “Bloodline,” “The Girl From Plainville,” and “Russian Doll.

Sevigny is repped by WME, Circle of Confusion and Narrative.

Bekah Brunstetter acts as creator, writer, and executive producer on “The Five-Star Weekend.” Alongside her, Beth Schacter serves as a writer and executive producer. Garner will take on the role of executive producer in addition to starring. Sue Naegle and Ali Krug serve as executive producers through Dinner Party Productions, with Hilderbrand also joining them as an executive producer. UCP is responsible for the studio production, and Dinner Party currently operates under an overall deal with UCP.
