Chipotle is celebrating the NHL playoffs by offering hockey fans in the US and Canada a chance to win jerseys and a buy-one-get-one deal.
Chipotle is known for its fun and inventive ‘buy one, get one’ promotions. For example, last Christmas, they offered a deal to anyone who visited wearing an ugly sweater.
In early 2026, specifically on Friday the 13th, customers with tattoos were eligible for a buy-one-get-one promotion.
With the NHL playoffs just around the corner, the company is offering a special buy-one-get-one deal for hockey fans. However, it’s designed specifically for those who are truly dedicated to the sport.
Chipotle’s new BOGO is only for fans with hockey jerseys
The store announced a special offer on April 20th, starting after 3 PM local time. To participate, customers must be wearing a hockey jersey.
“Each free item requires purchase of an entrée item of equal or greater value,” Chipotle says.

Honestly, I’m not picky. Any hockey jersey works for me! Whether it’s NHL, KHL, or even a national team one, I’ll take it. Heck, if I actually played hockey, I’d rock my own team jersey, for sure!
Chipotle’s annual Buy One Get One offer on hockey jerseys has become a popular event for fans during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and shows how much the company values its connection with the hockey world, according to Stephanie Perdue, their Interim Chief Marketing Officer.
Playoff hockey fans have their traditions – lucky jerseys, special meals – and now Chipotle wants to be part of those routines before each game.
The NHL playoffs will start on Saturday, April 18th, and we already know most of the teams that will face each other in the first round.
Chipotle announces hockey jersey giveaway
Besides the Buy One Get One offer, Chipotle is letting its Rewards members enter a contest to win one of 75 special hockey jerseys. Starting Saturday, April 18th, members can use 10 Rewards points – up to 20 times – for a chance to win a jersey.

The number 53 on the back is reportedly the number of actual ingredients used in their main dishes. The name ‘Chipper’ comes from a nickname often used by those involved in hockey.

Wingstop isn’t the only business celebrating 4/20 – they’re offering rolling trays with purchases of their Hot Box combo, and other companies have similar deals.
Meanwhile, Jimmy John’s announced a special Dream Rotation menu along with their own BOGO.
