A Chinese car manufacturer has received a patent for a unique invention: a toilet you can operate with your voice while still inside the vehicle.
Electric cars in China are offering more and more unique features, going beyond just transportation. Some now include things like massage chairs, karaoke machines, and even built-in drink coolers, making them increasingly comfortable and entertaining.
I was totally surprised to read that Seres, the EV maker out of Chongqing, actually filed a patent for a toilet inside their vehicles! Apparently, they’re really focused on high-end electric cars and new tech, and this is just the latest example. It’s a pretty wild idea, but hey, you’ve gotta admire their innovation!
How the technology works
According to a newly revealed patent, the toilet would be hidden under a passenger seat and extend out for use with the push of a button or a voice command.

The invention details a system for managing vehicle waste. It uses a fan and exhaust pipe to remove odors, then heats the waste to evaporate urine and dry solids. These dried materials are stored in a tank that needs to be emptied by hand.
Engineers believe this technology will provide a convenient toilet solution for people on long trips, while camping, or when spending time in their vehicles.
