Are you prepared to return to the hospital? Unfortunately, there’s a hold-up. Just as in everyday life, we have to wait our turn to watch the latest installment of Chicago Med Season 10, since it’s not airing tonight.
Debuting on screens in 2015, the captivating TV series is often referred to as the “One Chicago” trilogy. The medical drama focuses on the team of doctors and nurses at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center’s emergency room, balancing saving patients’ lives with their own personal struggles.
This implies that you can securely store it alongside other captivating medical series such as Grey’s Anatomy and The Resident. Currently, we have completed ten seasons, and the unexpected plot developments continue to keep us at the edge of excitement.
As expected, there’s no new episode of Chicago Med Season 10 this week. However, I wonder why Episode 20 has been postponed.
Why is Chicago Med Season 10 Episode 20 delayed?
For the next week, all shows in the One Chicago series – including Chicago Med, PD, and Fire – are taking a break. The cause of this hiatus remains unclear, but it pushes back the airing of Season 10 Episode 20 to May 7, 2025, at 8/7c on NBC.
Over the past few weeks, various broadcasters like CBS and ABC have taken a break in their programming every week, from Beyond the Gates on CBS to 9-1-1 Season 8 on ABC. Sometimes, it’s clear why – The Rookie Season 7 was rescheduled last week due to a new interview with President Donald Trump – but other times, there seems to be no discernible reason behind these breaks.
Regrettably, this situation calls for a short break, but it’s just for a week. After that, we’ll be right back on schedule. There are still two episodes of Season 10 remaining after Episode 20 airs, so there’s lots more to watch in the coming days!
What will happen in Season 10 Episode 20?
According to the episode summary, “The hospital is hit by a staff shortage due to a nurse strike; Archer and Frost wager on who can release their patients quickest; Charles’ suspicion towards a patient makes his care more challenging.
From the video shown, it appears the hospital may have to shut down due to an unexpected illness affecting numerous medical personnel. The nature of this illness remains unknown, but it’s suspected that it will lead to a severe health issue for one or more characters.
Following Episode 19, we’ve seen Matt preparing for his liver donation surgery, while the bond between Maggie and Goodwin is strained. Additionally, there have been rising tensions within the nursing staff union. It seems that all of these narratives are not yet fully resolved.
