In spring 2025, Chicago Med concluded Season 10 with an emotional and shocking finale, leaving me, at least, utterly astonished by the Hannah/Archer plot twist. Fans are currently on summer break before the One Chicago shows resume in the fall, but a small morsel of the medical drama might have been overlooked by some. Wolf Entertainment recently shared a deleted scene featuring two unexpected characters from Med, and I hope that this scene being left out doesn’t mean that there’s a storyline between these characters being skipped.
Between the heartbreaking conflict over one set of healthy lungs for two very sick kids, Dr. Charles’ emotional breakthrough with Anna, Hannah’s pregnancy situation that led her to Archer’s doorstep, and everything else that led me to rank Med as the One Chicago finale that made me cry the most, there evidently wasn’t room for a short but really lovely scene between Hannah and Lenox about “the stuff that matters.” Take a look at the deleted scene, courtesy of Wolf Entertainment’s Instagram page:

It’s hard not to ponder if perhaps additional scenes were left out, as they might have clarified what specifically triggers Lenox to suspect Hannah is pregnant. The ED’s OB/GYN sipping tea instead of coffee could imply she’s reducing caffeine intake, but that would still be quite a stretch for Lenox to deduce. However, this brief sequence does provide a glimpse into both characters, wrapping up the finale with surprises for both of them. (You can rewatch the finale now with a Peacock subscription.)
In the final scene, Hannah appeared to lack someone to share her feelings with since Lizzy had become angry with her. On the other hand, Lenox discovered that while her brother tested negative, she was positive for a fatal prion disease. She may require someone to confide in too, given that she seems unwilling to tell her brother and her relationship with Archer is more of an enemy than a friend at this stage.
In Season 11, it’s fascinating to observe the women forming strong connections! Many viewers, including myself, appreciated the interaction between Jessy Schram and Sarah Ramos. This sentiment was echoed in the comments section of their Instagram post.
- danielle_xoxo0507: “WHYYY WOULD THEY NOT SHOW THIS???”
- paula461: “😢Dr L needs to make a friend ❤️ Should have left the scene i[n]”
- bethann.m: “Should have been in the show!! So happy for Hannah”
- drkfj: “That was a really good scene, well written and well acted”
Anticipation builds as we eagerly await the return of Chicago Med for Season 11 this fall, along with Season 14 of Chicago Fire and Season 13 of Chicago P.D.. The medical drama is set to reach its 200-episode milestone early in the eleventh season, with showrunner Allen MacDonald hinting that they have ideas but are still working out the particulars for this significant occasion. To satisfy your cravings for NBC’s Windy City action during the summer hiatus, you can always catch up on all three shows streaming on Peacock.
