Actress Jocelyn Hudon, known for her role on Chicago Fire, shares her thoughts on where she sees her character going in the upcoming season 14. Having started with a recurring role in season 12 and then moving to a main character in season 13, Hudon expresses a desire for Novak to remain within the series. One of the most exciting aspects of Novak’s character development is her blossoming relationship with fellow paramedic Violet Mikami from Ambulance 61 and Firehouse 51. Hudon has expressed optimism about Novak’s future in Chicago Fire.
According to TV Insider, Hudson discussed her character’s season 13 journey and her expectations for Novak in future seasons. She expressed satisfaction with Novak’s current role on the show and enjoyed the playful dynamic between her character and her friend and coworker, Violet. Hudson shared that she hopes her character will continue to have a significant presence at Firehouse 51, despite the upcoming changes. Here are Hudson’s comments for your reading:
Absolutely! It’s interesting to note that Novak and Violet have developed a strong team as paramedics. What do you think makes their partnership so effective?
In my perspective, they have an unwavering faith in each other, nurturing a powerful connection. They seem to balance each other out exceptionally well. To put it simply, Violet carries a heavy load of responsibility and maintains a serious, driven, and focused demeanor. Yet, Novak brings a touch of lightness into her life. She’s more like a confidante for Violet, offering unwavering support whenever she needs it. I believe that Violet recognizes and values this unique bond we share, making us an exceptional team.
Firehouse 51 appears set for some significant alterations. There’s uncertainty about the departures of Ritter (Daniel Kyri) and Carver (Jake Lockett). Herrmann (David Eigenberg) has taken a step back, allowing Mouch (Christian Stolte) to move up as lieutenant of engine. Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) seems likely to remain. The auditor has issued a warning about impending changes…
I believe Novak is perfectly content in her current position, and I truly hope so. I’m deeply fond of where she stands, as she seems to be an integral part of it all. She actively engages in every ambulance call, demonstrating a hands-on approach that fits seamlessly with the team. From my perspective, it appears there are no imminent changes for Novak.
What Novak’s Wanting To Stay Means For Chicago Fire Season 14
Novak & Violet Could Become A Fan-Favorite Pair
It’s clear that Chicago Fire season 14 will undergo significant transformations, with several characters leaving and new ones taking their place. Yet, Hudson’s remarks suggest optimism about Novak’s continued presence, implying her character has resonated enough with viewers to secure a lasting role at Firehouse 51. The on-screen bond between Novak and Violet has been particularly entertaining and engaging, and Hudson’s acting chemistry with Hanako Greensmith brings an authentic touch to their friendship.
It appears Hudson intends to explore new territories with Novak’s character in season 14, and there’s a chance we might see her pop up on other “One Chicago” shows. The interconnected storytelling that resurfaced in season 13 paves the way for future opportunities, and given Novak’s knack for mischief and free-spirited nature, she could make a great addition to crossover episodes.
Our Take On Novak’s Chicago Fire Future
Things Look Good For The Popular Paramedic
As a die-hard fan of Chicago Fire, I’ve got to say Novak has been a breath of fresh air at Firehouse 51. Her lively spirit brings much-needed levity during some of the heaviest emotional moments we’ve seen on the show. With season 14 promising major changes, it feels like Novak will find her place more comfortably than ever within the firehouse walls. It looks like Novak (and Violet) are here to stay and will continue to make significant impacts on the series.
