On one hand, we had our glimmers of hope – Caleb Williams’ impressive rookie year and D.J. Moore’s stellar performances to name a couple. But on the other, we faced some tough losses that left us just short of the playoffs.

We’ve obtained the simulation results for the Chicago Bears’ 2024 season using Madden 25. The upcoming season is expected to be significant for the team. In the 2024 NFL Draft, they selected USC Quarterback Caleb Williams as their first overall pick. To bolster their offense even more, they brought in talent such as Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, and D’andre Swift, to work alongside top-tier receiver DJ Moore. Therefore, let’s explore how the team might fare during the 2024 season, as seen through the lens of this simulation.

Week 1 – vs. Tennessee Titans

In Caleb Williams’ initial appearance, it wasn’t a stellar performance, but it was sufficient for Chicago to secure their first victory of the season. Williams managed 243 passing yards and scored a touchdown, yet he also had an interception in the second quarter that resulted in a field goal by the Titans. However, the offense significantly improved in the latter half of the game. The defense also played a crucial role, sacking QB Will Levis three times. Moreover, they restricted the Titans to only one touchdown from four chances within their red zone territory.

However, the pivotal moment of the match came when Caleb Williams connected with TE Cole Kmet for a touchdown, giving them a 20-16 advantage. This score ultimately decided the game since the Titans were unable to cross the goal line once more.

Week 2 – @ Houston Texans

In the game, Chicago’s defense found it tough against second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud, who managed two touchdowns in the opening quarter. The Bears almost scored a touchdown as well, but were halted just one yard shy of the Texans’ end zone and chose to go for a field goal instead. Despite the defensive struggles, Chicago’s offense didn’t start performing until the fourth quarter.

Caleb Williams managed to score two touchdowns, however, he was only able to finish 59% of his pass attempts. To make matters worse, running back HB D’Andre Swift got hurt and will be out for several weeks. Khalil Herbert played decently (with six carries totaling 29 yards), but the Bears offense needed to perform better earlier in the game.

Week 3 – @ Indianapolis Colts

After suffering his initial career defeat, Caleb Williams bounced back in style by triumphing over the Colts in a thrilling match. He finished 62% of his throws for 211 yards and scored a single touchdown. Remarkably, this touchdown was secured at the last possible moment when he connected with Keenan Allen for 18 yards as only 15 seconds remained on the clock. Moreover, backup Running Back Khalil Herbert delivered an impressive performance, amassing 79 yards from 18 carries and adding a touchdown to his tally.

At half-time trailing 16-10, Chicago tightened their defense to thwart the Colts’ strategy of burning clock time. Essentially, the Colts focused on running plays almost exclusively. Among Anthony Richardson and their running backs, they accumulated an impressive 44 carries distributed among three players. Due to the majority of these runs being four-yard gains, Indianapolis controlled the game’s possession for a significant portion.

Despite the Rams’ defense performing admirably without Hall of Fame player Aaron Donald, Chicago found it tough to gain ground. Caleb Williams, in his poorest performance thus far, failed to score any touchdowns and threw two interceptions. However, what made matters worse was that Chicago held a 13-7 advantage deep into the fourth quarter.

In the heat of the game, every time we had a chance to score more points and secure the win, something would go awry. It could be an interception or a quick series ending in three downs – but somehow, the Rams managed to stay in contention. Unfortunately, their persistence paid off in the end, snatching victory from our grasp.

Week 5 – vs. Carolina Panthers. Chicago Bears 2024 Season Results According to Madden 25

Following his most disappointing performance, Caleb Williams shone in his top game of the season, delivering a 298-yard, three-touchdown display. Combined, Keenan Allen and D.J. Moore managed 188 yards. Notably, D.J. Moore scored a 42-yard touchdown just before half time.

In a closely contested match, the defense played admirably for a victory, but it came down to the wire. With just 1 minute and 3 seconds remaining, Bryce Young scored a touchdown. Unfortunately for Carolina, their Onside Kick attempt failed, securing Chicago their third win of the season.

In a repeated sequence of victories and defeats, Chicago suffered a loss this week against Jacksonville, led by Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars managed a brief surge in the second quarter, scoring 27 consecutive points that the Bears were unable to match or recover from.

Williams put up decent stats (260 passing yards, 2 touchdowns) on paper, but a significant portion of those numbers were accumulated during his last two drives. However, the main concern was Khalil Herbert’s performance, who managed just 44 yards from 15 rushing attempts. As a result of this loss, Chicago now stands even at a 50% win/loss ratio.

In yesterday’s matchup, the Bears’ defense found it tough to contain Kyler Murray’s elusive and precise passing skills, which saw him complete nearly two-thirds of his throws. Additionally, James Conner contributed significantly with 18 rushing attempts for a total of 106 yards, as Arizona’s offense maintained control across the board. In contrast, Chicago primarily found themselves playing from behind during the game.

Trailing 28-14 in the third quarter, the Chicago Bears scored consecutive touchdowns to catch up with their opponents. The final quarter was filled with tension as both teams exchanged possessions multiple times. However, it was the Arizona Cardinals who eventually crossed the goal line. With just over two minutes remaining in the game, Caleb Williams was unable to guide his team further and force overtime.

In the game, the Bears didn’t play exceptionally well. Williams threw a touchdown, but he also made an interception in the fourth quarter. Remarkably, the Patriots scored and added a 2-point conversion, making it 21-18. Luckily for Chicago, this advantage didn’t lead to their downfall later on. With the victory, the Bears are now above .500 once more.

In the Windy City, I found myself on the losing end as the Packers outshone the Bears. Unfortunately, Caleb Williams had a rough day, tossing a season-peak of three interceptions, one of which Jaire Alexander scooped up for a 68-yard return. Khalil Herbert’s performance in his final start before Swift’s comeback was underwhelming, managing just 22 yards on a tough 10 carries.

It’s important to note that until the fourth quarter, the Bears’ defense had only conceded a mere 10 points. But in the final act, they experienced two consecutive touchdown drives, which ultimately led Green Bay to victory in their initial encounter this season.

This implies that if they win now, the Bears will return to having a 5-5 record. In order to potentially secure a playoff berth, they must secure at least four more victories.

Minnesota has faced numerous challenges this offseason, yet they continue to be contenders for the playoffs. However, in a close game, the Bears edged them out with a 28-24 win. After the Vikings had taken a 24-21 lead in the fourth quarter, Caleb Williams had 7 minutes and 55 seconds remaining to score. In just 8 plays, Williams connected with TE Cole Kmet for a touchdown pass at the 3-yard line.

In a strong performance (completing 22 out of 28 passes for 255 yards and scoring two touchdowns), Sam Darnold excelled, but unfortunately tossed his first interception during the last drive of the match. Credit for sealing the game goes to Kevin Byard, who snatched a crucial interception.

In a near miss, Chicago nearly triumphed over the Lions, moving closer to advancing in the standings. Regrettably, Dan Campbell’s team seems slightly better equipped for playoff contention. With the score tied 20-20 at the start of the fourth quarter, Chicago had an opportunity to increase their lead to 27-20… and they seized it! D.J. Moore’s 28-yard touchdown catch gave Chicago the advantage for the first time throughout the game.

However, the defense struggled and conceded a streak of ten points without response. Additionally, Caleb Williams, who had an impressive performance throughout the game, experienced a decrease in completion accuracy from 71% to 63%, largely due to several failed passes during his final drives. Consequently, Chicago’s record now stands at .500 following the defeat.

In this game, Chicago seemed to struggle significantly compared to their opponents. They were outperformed in every aspect – from strategy, execution to individual skills. Deebo Samuel demonstrated his prowess by racking up 178 yards on nine receptions alone. His ability to evade defenders and create significant plays was evident in the 123 yards he gained post-catch. Another standout player was George Kittle, who scored three touchdowns off only five catches.

Overall, just a bad day for the Bears.

This time around, Chicago’s defense effectively thwarted Sam Darnold’s performance, whereas they found the Vikings more manageable, clinching a 24-10 victory. The game remained tight until the fourth quarter, but ultimately, it was close. In the final quarter, D’Andre Swift, fresh from his return, scored twice in the end zone, thereby increasing Chicago’s lead to a two-touchdown advantage.

In the heat of the game, I managed to dash into the end zone for a 2-yard score in the second quarter – unfortunately, no passing TDs for me this time. But hey, a touchdown’s a touchdown, and with that score, we took home the win against Minnesota, making it a clean sweep for Chicago!

Week 16 – vs. Detroit Lions. Chicago Bears 2024 Season Results According to Madden 25

As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: After dominating the Vikings, Chicago unfortunately faced a reversal of fortune against the Lions. A safety in the final quarter put Detroit up 22-13, and soon after Jared Goff found Sam LaPorta for a touchdown. With a commanding 16-point lead, the Lions confidently secured their spot in the playoffs.

Slipping beneath the .500 mark yet again after the defeat, I find myself grappling with a bittersweet feeling as a fan. The playoff dream seems to be fading, but there’s a glimmer of hope – just two victories could potentially secure us that coveted spot in the postseason.

Week 17 – vs. Seattle Seahawks. Chicago Bears 2024 Season Results According to Madden 25

In this game, I nailed not one, but two field goals from over 50 yards out, snagging the game ball for my efforts. Caleb Williams, on the other hand, threw for a whopping 256 yards and a clutch fourth-quarter touchdown that gave Chicago a 14-point lead. Though we fell short of converting our two-point attempt, there simply wasn’t enough time left on the clock (only 2:51) for the Seahawks to mount a comeback.

Following their victory, the Bears now stand in an unusual position. If they manage to defeat the Packers in week 18, it’s quite probable that they’ll qualify for the playoffs. Conversely, a loss would mean Chicago and its players are off to Cancun for the offseason. So, what lies ahead?

Unfortunately for the Bears, not only did they lose to the Lions, but also to the Packers in their matches. In his last game of the season, Caleb Williams played well, however, he threw an interception in the fourth quarter when there was still a possibility to win. To sum up, during his final game of his rookie season, he completed 65% of his passes for 240 yards, scored two touchdowns, and had one interception.

Despite their loss, which prevented them from securing a playoff berth, this season brought several positives for the Bears. Notably, Caleb Williams achieved a first by throwing for more than 4,000 passing yards as the team’s quarterback, averaging approximately 238 yards per game. Additionally, D.J. Moore surpassed 1,200 receiving yards and developed a strong rapport with the rookie player.

Hopefully, there was enough good here to show Bears fans that the future is bright.
