As a devoted gaming enthusiast, I was deeply saddened to learn that one prominent UK video game retailer has announced they won’t be able to deliver some pre-ordered Nintendo Switch 2 units, leaving many fellow fans feeling disheartened.
On May 29th, some pre-orders for the Switch 2 placed via Game were cancelled. To apologize to those affected, Game issued an apology on their platform. They have confirmed they are actively working to resolve this problem at present.
“We deeply regret having to cancel certain pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2. We acknowledge that this news might be disheartening, particularly for those who were anxiously anticipating receiving their order.”
At the moment, we’re putting in maximum effort to restore pre-orders that were affected. If your order was impacted, understand that we are making every possible effort and will keep you informed with updates and our next steps. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work diligently to address this issue. Your support means a lot to us.

As the release date for the Switch (on June 5) approaches quickly, it’s a significant letdown for fans eagerly waiting to start playing with the console on its launch day.
As a devoted fan, I’ve found myself swept up in the fervor surrounding the upcoming release of the Nintendo Switch 2. The anticipation has been so palpable that even Nintendo’s President, Shuntaro Furukawa, felt compelled to apologize because a substantial number of Japanese fans like me were unable to secure a pre-order due to the overwhelming demand for this coveted portable console.
Approximately 2.2 million individuals in Japan applied to pre-order the console through a lottery system. Despite initial supply shortages, some units are now being seen on store shelves. A photograph of these consoles from American retailer Target has recently become popular online.
Some fortunate fans have already gotten their Switch 2 units ahead of schedule, even though they require an initial update to play games physically.
If you’re affected by the cancellation of GAME’s Switch 2 pre-orders, you can visit their official help page for more information on how to proceed.
