Cheaters are still running wild in Broken Arrow. Without solid anti-cheat tools in place, the battle against them is moving way too slowly

The first week following Broken Arrow’s release has arrived, and unfortunately, it appears that the game is encountering a recurring multiplayer issue – cheaters. Reports of suspicious activity during matches have been flooding in, leaving the developers overwhelmed. At present, things are quite chaotic, and they’ve requested players to be patient while they investigate each instance individually.

Cheaters are taking over Broken Arrow

In Broken Arrow, players are encountering an excessive amount of ammo that never runs out, health bars that seem indestructible, and units moving at breakneck speeds. These circumstances have many questioning unfair play, which appears to be cheating. Consequently, there’s been a surge in complaints from the player base flooding the developers. However, it seems the influx of reports has become somewhat overwhelming. Recently, the community manager even requested understanding, acknowledging that they are meticulously reviewing each case individually, as not every report turns out to be genuine cheating.

The positive aspect is that cheating penalties are linked to a player’s SteamID, meaning once someone is caught cheating, they can no longer play, unless they create a completely new Steam account and repurchase the game. However, this isn’t a recent problem; there were already numerous reports of cheaters during the beta testing phase.

Conversely, it’s important to note that employing cheats during PvE matches could still result in a ban. Many players find themselves tinkering with mods during AI skirmishes. However, given the absence of an offline mode, this becomes somewhat risky. It’s undeniable that Broken Arrow currently lacks robust anti-cheat measures. If the situation doesn’t change, players might decide to abandon the game due to these concerns.
