Charlie Vickers, Yerin Ha Australian Mystery Series ‘The Survivors’ Sets Netflix Debut, Trailer Unveiled

On June 6, Netflix will debut “The Survivors,” the eagerly awaited Australian mystery series adapted from Jane Harper’s beloved novel.

The colossal streaming service additionally revealed a teaser, highlighting Tasmania’s dramatic seashores as the setting for this nerve-wracking small-town suspense drama.

Developed by esteemed Australian producer Tony Ayres (“Fires,” “Clickbait,” “Stateless”), this series centers around Kieran Elliott, whose life was dramatically changed when a tragic event occurred in his coastal hometown of Evelyn Bay: two people drowned and a young girl vanished. Fifteen years later, his return with his family stirs up old guilt. A discovery of a woman’s body on the beach reopens the case, potentially unearthing hidden truths about the missing girl, exposing long-kept secrets, and revealing a potential killer lurking within the close-knit community.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that this captivating production boasts Charlie Vickers and Yerin Ha in pivotal roles. Veteran Australian actors like Robyn Malcolm, Damien Garvey, Thom Green, George Mason, Jess De Gouw, Miriama Smith, and Catherine McClements lend their exceptional talents to the ensemble. Cherie Nowlan and Ben C. Lucas skillfully steer the series’ direction as its directors.

The film production received crucial backing from Screen Tasmania, as producers pointed out, enabling an accurate portrayal of Harper’s novel.
