Charlie Cox Reveals How Fans Can Help Bring Daredevil to the Big Screen in the MCU!

For a Daredevil movie to materialize within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans have an essential task, as suggested by actor Charlie Cox. This is because Cox’s character is experiencing a revival in the MCU following the debut of the first season of “Daredevil: Born Again” on Disney+, which enables him to carry on portraying his beloved Marvel antihero.

Charlie Cox, who has played Daredevil in previous series, encouraged Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) followers to express their interest in a Daredevil film within the MCU. Although Cox has excelled in streaming productions and is set to reprise his role as Daredevil in “Daredevil: Born Again” starting in 2025, the character’s appearances on the big screen have been scarce so far.

During an interview with Scott Mantz for SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Cox was queried about what could bring a Daredevil film back. While acknowledging that he might not be the best person to answer this question, he expressed his appreciation for his time as Daredevil, emphasizing his ability to tell the story in an extended format.

You wouldn’t want to ask me, as I’m not knowledgeable about this topic; you should consult the adults instead. I don’t claim to know much, but I’m quite content with my lack of knowledge. The only thing I can share is that I’m really enjoying myself here, and I’m overjoyed to be part of telling such an extensive story.

Later, he mused about the opportunity to watch episodes of his series on the big screen, expressing regret that this isn’t common for fans. Moreover, he encouraged fans to voice their interest by “sending messages” to Marvel, advocating for a Daredevil film to be produced.

Additionally, since I’m involved in the series, you all had an experience similar to what we encounter each season. We get the opportunity to watch the first two episodes on a large screen, so I can relate to that. Unfortunately, given how cinematic that pilot was, it feels as if it should be viewed on a big screen. Perhaps, everyone could write letters expressing their thoughts about it.

So far, Charlie Cox has made just one appearance in the MCU, which was in Spider-Man: No Way Home. This encounter finally brought him face to face with Tom Holland’s character, Peter Parker. Additionally, he is set to appear in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo, as well as having his own series on Disney+.

Previously gracing the screens of Netflix’s epic series, Daredevil and The Defenders Saga, I, Charlie Cox, found myself back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe amidst the Multiverse Madness, concluding with my self-titled Daredevil: Born Again series. Stepping into a heartrending tale of resurrecting my vigilante identity, I encountered a newly elected Mayor Wilson Fisk and his formidable anti-vigilante task force. Their relentless terror across New York City posed a tangible threat. Most of my appearances as Daredevil within the MCU can be streamed conveniently on Disney+.

Will Daredevil Get His Own Marvel Movie?

Although it hasn’t been confirmed whether Daredevil will star in a standalone film or not, Marvel might face certain hurdles in this regard.

Lately, it was disclosed that actor Vincent D’Onofrio, known for his role as Kingpin, won’t be featured in MCU films anymore. Instead, he will primarily focus on Disney+ productions. This limitation could potentially strip an essential element from a standalone Daredevil film given the strong connection between their characters, especially considering their close association within the streaming platform universe.

Additionally, there’s speculation that Daredevil might face limitations on the big screen, as Marvel Studios may not have the rights to produce a standalone film for this character.

Although no official word has been given regarding this matter, it’s likely that the query about a possible Daredevil movie will remain significant as discussions for the second season of “Daredevil: Born Again” set for 2026 continue within the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s expanding future.
