Charlie Cox Calls Out ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Episode 5 as His ‘Least Favorite’ of Season 1: ‘I Wasn’t Into It’

If it were up to Charlie Cox, Episode 5 of “Daredevil: Born Again” would’ve been cut.

Prior to the debut of Disney+’s reboot, whispers circulated about an early script version where Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page met their ends off-camera. However, the show was revised, but in an interview with The Playlist, “Born Again” actor Cox lamented that the fifth episode, titled “With Interest,” remained identical to his disappointment.

Cox mentioned that one episode remained unaltered throughout, specifically the bank episode which was filmed prior to the strike. This scene was originally part of the script, and in his opinion, he didn’t find it particularly appealing.

The episode under discussion showcases Matt Murdock, portrayed by Charlie Cox and also known as Daredevil, finding himself amidst a bank robbery while seeking a business loan for his law firm. Cox described this episode as his “least favorite” of the season, mentioning that he resisted it as much as he felt was reasonable.

He added, “I strongly opposed that particular episode, but I’m constantly told by numerous viewers that they adore it. This just proves how unpredictable things can be. People’s preferences vary greatly, and each person has their unique taste. What’s more, I was informed that this episode is among the highest-rated shows Disney has produced.
