CD Projekt RED explains what Cyberpunk 2077 won’t get in Update 2.3. „Not this time around”

8:00 am PT today marks our special streaming session where we’ll disclose the specifics of the 2.3 update for Cyberpunk 2077, which was initially scheduled for June release. However, CD Projekt Red opted to postpone it to ensure a smoother experience by perfecting every aspect.

The upcoming content is expected to focus on cars, with many gamers suggesting it could involve extensive vehicle customization. Yet, these are merely speculations. Regarding certain aspects, it’s evident that the update will not incorporate customization features for Cyberware.

As a dedicated gamer, I recently came across a piece of news from Amelia Korzycka, the Community Manager at CD Projekt Red. In response to a query from a fellow player on X, she confirmed some information. Yet, some enthusiasts couldn’t help but notice that her response hinted, “Not this time around.

This could imply that in the future, Cyberpunk 2077 might get an update including the specified feature. Yet, others argue that it’s merely a courteous expression which, in reality, translates to “no” instead.

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news as a fellow enthusiast! Marcin Momot has confirmed that the upcoming 2.3 update will be comparable in scale to our previous patch. The 2.2 update brought us vehicle color customization, enhanced photo mode features, additional character creator options, and an extra gigabyte of content. Can’t wait to see what surprises await us in the 2.3 update!
