Today, CD Projekt Red studio has rolled out patch 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077. This update is now live on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Mac computers (Nintendo Switch will get it later). The new version brings several enhancements and exciting additions to the game. One particularly noteworthy feature is the AutoDrive function, as suggested by Pawel Sasko.

By its title alone, you can tell that this function enables vehicles to navigate autonomously in Night City. Players have the freedom to pick between driving to a marked location on the map or simply enjoying a scenic, aimless drive. Additionally, an upgraded feature offers cinematic camera angles, capturing our trip with artistic, film-like shots – ideal for recording adventures or leisurely discovering the city’s beauty.

It turns out that the concept for this particular feature in Cyberpunk 2077 emerged following the main quest designer’s viewing of fan-created videos posted on YouTube.

Our motivation stemmed from the YouTube videos you shared, particularly those focused on Cyberpunk 2077, such as the one titled “4 Hours of Exploring the City.” Similar videos also inspired us.

With a quick search on YouTube, you’ll uncover numerous videos showcasing this topic. It’s clear that creating these videos is about to get even simpler and more enjoyable. As long as there’s demand, anyone can now dive straight into Night City using AutoDrive within the game itself.

In addition to the AutoDrive patch 2.3, we’ve also introduced some new vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077. One such vehicle is the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru, which was previously included but might have gone unnoticed by some players, as admitted by Pawel Sasko with a touch of regret.
