CBS Moves Up ‘Tracker,’ ‘Equalizer’ Season Premieres

As a long-time television critic with a deep appreciation for the CBS network and its programming, I am both intrigued and somewhat perplexed by the recent announcement of premiere date changes for “Tracker” and “The Equalizer.”

CBS is shifting the season premieres of “Tracker” and “The Equalizer” to earlier dates.

The original plan had “Tracker”s second season and another show premiering on Oct. 27, right after an NFL game. However, the release date for “Tracker” Season 2 has changed. Now, it will debut during the beginning of CBS’s premiere week on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This program will be followed by the final episode of “Big Brother.”

Starting October 20, Season 5 of “The Equalizer” will be broadcast during CBS’s final week of premieres at 9:30 p.m. Afterward, on November 3, the show will shift back to its usual 9 p.m. time slot.

The full updated schedule can be seen below.

CBS announced its autumn program starts in July instead of the usual September. However, there are some exceptions to this change, including the beginning of the 47th season of “Survivor” on September 18, a sneak peek of the “Matlock” revival featuring Kathy Bates on September 22, and the debut of “The Summit,” a competitive show, on September 29.
