The open world RPG Where Winds Meet has had an incredible launch, reaching 2 million players in just 24 hours. While the game already gained popularity in China, with 15 million players over a few months, it’s now attracting a Western audience thanks to its free-to-play model and expansive Wuxia-inspired world. Despite a strong start, the developers at Everstone Studio are actively addressing some issues through ongoing updates and patches.

The new Where Winds Meet update 1.007 (version 1.007.000) is now available to download, and it’s a small file size.

So, the whole drama started with this new outfit, Sword Unseen, dropping in Where Winds Meet. It’s a gacha thing, meaning you have to keep rolling to get all the pieces. The problem is, each roll gets more expensive, and if you wanted the whole outfit, it was looking like it would cost over 7,000 Echo Beads! Gacha systems are pretty common, but the way they released this outfit on the Chinese servers is what really caused an uproar.

Okay, so I finally tracked down Soaring Spin! It’s hidden in a chest inside a secret temple in Kaifeng, which is the second big area in Where Winds Meet. Getting there took a while – you need to hit level 32 and finish the first chapter before you can even access it. And honestly, finding the temple itself? It’s a real treasure hunt. Be prepared to do some serious exploring!
