Jane Fonda also opposes a potential deal where Paramount might buy Warner Bros. Discovery. She previously disliked the idea of Netflix—whose co-CEO is a friend of hers, Ted Sarandos—acquiring WB, and feels even stronger about Paramount because the Ellison family, who run Paramount, are close to Donald Trump. Fonda pointed to comments made by Pete Hegseth, who said he believed it would be good if David Ellison gained control of CNN (which is owned by WB). Fonda has a personal connection to CNN, as she was married to its founder, Ted Turner, for ten years. She jokingly mentioned she even ‘slept’ with the man who created the network, and still has a commemorative pin to prove their history.

The newest weekly manga rankings are out, and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Vol. 2 has moved to second place. As expected, One Piece Vol. 114 is number one, selling an incredible 612,629 copies. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Vol. 2 also had strong sales with 194,752 copies sold.

Andy Weir’s novel, Project Hail Mary, received widespread praise and is considered his best book yet. The team making the movie understands how much the story means to fans. In a recent interview with MovieWeb, Ryan Gosling shared that he empathizes with those fans and recognizes how important the book is to them, saying:

When The Great Wall first came out, it didn’t do well with audiences or critics. However, people are now revisiting the film and appreciating its ambition. While it wasn’t a blockbuster hit, viewed today, it has a lot to offer. The movie is visually stunning and features strong acting, which makes its fantastical premise believable. It might not have been an awards contender, but it deserves a second look and more appreciation.

I don’t think we’ll ever see a sequel to The Man From U.N.C.L.E., especially with everything that happened with Armie Hammer. But, the director of Snatch is working on something new, and honestly, it feels like it might be the closest we’ll get to revisiting that world – it’s got a similar vibe, you know?

I’m so excited to see Marvel really hitting its stride again! It feels like they’re answering all our wishes with their upcoming movies. The best part? Chris Evans is back as Captain America! And get this – Robert Downey Jr. isn’t returning as Iron Man, but he’s taking on the role of Doctor Doom in the new Avengers: Doomsday film! I’ve already seen some amazing fan art imagining their return, and it’s got me even more hyped for 2026.

Ryan Reynolds is famous for his witty and dry humor, both in his movies and in real life. But he takes on a very different kind of role in the 2014 film The Captive, playing a father whose daughter disappears. Directed by Atom Egoyan and co-written by Reynolds with David Fraser, the movie also features a strong supporting cast including Bruce Greenwood, Scott Speedman, Rosario Dawson, Mireille Enos, Kevin Durand, and Alexia Fast. Viewers are clearly interested in seeing Reynolds in a more serious role, as The Captive is currently a top 10 hit on Netflix in the U.S.

Director BenDavid Grabinski shared that the return of Vince Vaughn to his cult classic film, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, happened by chance. The sci-fi comedy, which Grabinski wrote and directed, centers on Vaughn’s character Nick and James Marsden’s Mike, two criminals who find themselves facing threats involving a time machine – all while both being in love with Alice, played by Eiza González.
