Top Chef Recap: The Spice Must Flow

This week on Top Chef, Ed and his pepper farm inspired the Elimination challenge, focusing on spicy flavors. The Quickfire challenge was the opposite – all about cool desserts, thanks to a partnership with Talenti! Mei Lin, a past Top Chef winner and former sous chef to Mike Voltaggio, presented the contestants with pints of Talenti gelato and sorbet, and I was surprised they didn’t immediately realize they’d need to use them in the challenge. Top Chef rarely includes desserts without a catch. For the Quickfire, the chefs had to create a savory dish inspired by the region connected to their assigned gelato or sorbet flavor – like Mediterranean mint or Southern butter pecan. They could then access regional ingredients and their dish needed to pair well with the sweet treat, which Mei and Kristen would taste and evaluate.

Star Wars’ New Maul Trailer Is Giving Major Force Unleashed Vibes

Aside from all the excitement, there’s an interesting detail in the new Star Wars trailer that fans might appreciate. A specific scene strongly resembles moments from The Force Unleashed, a series of video games that aren’t currently considered official canon but feature Darth Vader’s hidden apprentice – a character Sam Witwer, who plays Maul, originally voiced.

Every ‘Reacher’ TV Season & Movie, Ranked

I first discovered Jack Reacher back in the late 90s with Lee Child’s Killing Floor, and I was instantly hooked. Over the years, Child crafted this incredible character – a huge, 6’5” ex-military cop who just wanders around the country, and let me tell you, he’s a force to be reckoned with! He’s not exactly a warm and fuzzy guy – think precise, like a Swiss watch – but incredibly dangerous. When Hollywood adapted him with Tom Cruise in 2012, the films were okay, entertaining even, but something always felt…off. It just didn’t feel like the Reacher I knew from the books, and I think a lot of fans agreed.

Below Deck Down Under Recap: Turning Tables

Eddy lashed out at Mike, who was constantly moving between inside and outside as he pleased. Seeing Eddy was upset, Daisy offered to ask Mike for help, and Eddy admitted he’d needed Mike all day. After encouraging Eddy to communicate his needs, Daisy spoke with Mike, telling him to stay on deck until someone asked him to come back in. Eddy relayed this to João, who asked him to check with him first before talking to Daisy. Ultimately, the back-and-forth about who spoke to whom didn’t change the fact that Mike still expected others to manage his whereabouts. When Mike asked João when he could come inside, João explained he’d been trying to coordinate, but Mike kept wandering off.

Jason Ritter Got Promoted on The Last of Us

Production on the third season of The Last of Us – which might be the last – has been ongoing for some time. In May 2025, Ramsey stated they hadn’t read any scripts yet, but anticipate being involved, though perhaps not extensively. They’ve discussed the plans and have a general idea of the storyline, but are keeping the details private.

Timothée Chalamet Shares First Look at Darker, Edgier Dune: Part Three

Denis Villeneuve’s next Dune movie will adapt Dune: Messiah, a story that delves into darker themes. It follows Paul Atreides after he becomes emperor and finds himself at the heart of a massive religious war, ironically becoming something of a villain. Dune: Part Three promises bigger roles for Florence Pugh and Anya Taylor-Joy, and may bring back Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho – or rather, one of the many cloned versions of him. Robert Pattinson is also joining the cast, though his character is currently a secret. The film is scheduled for release on December 18th.
