Streaming services are starting to share content more often, moving away from each platform keeping everything to itself. Instead of studios locking their shows and movies onto single services, they’re now licensing different projects to various streamers – similar to how television worked in the past. According to Chris Ottinger, head of distribution at Amazon MGM Studios, when Amazon bought MGM, they planned to keep licensing MGM’s popular library to different streaming and TV partners. This means iconic films and shows, including the James Bond collection arriving on Netflix January 15th, will be available on multiple platforms. As for the next James Bond movie, it’s still in the works and hopefully will be released sometime in the future.

San Francisco firefighters and paramedics responded to a call at the Fairmont Hotel around 2:53 a.m. on January 1st, according to NBC Bay Area. They found one person dead at the scene, a fire department spokesperson said.

Netflix’s Run Away follows Simon Greene (James Nesbitt) as he frantically searches for his missing daughter, Paige (Ellie de Lange). Along the way, he meets private investigator Elena Ravenscroft (Ruth Jones) and encounters a variety of intriguing characters. The show is full of unexpected twists, making it easy to watch multiple episodes at once. However, viewers have had mixed reactions so far.

Recently, Fukunaga from The Pokémon Company attended ITT Bombay TechFest 2025, a yearly event celebrating advancements in science and technology. While there, he was asked whether the company might use NFTs for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which already has a digital version available through the Pokémon TCG Pocket mobile app.

Although Stranger Things provided a pretty satisfying conclusion and expanded on the mysteries of the Upside Down, the final season wasn’t perfect. Viewers appreciated the emotional moments between beloved characters, but many wished there had been more action and less dialogue. While most fans felt the last episode delivered on their expectations, there’s still one issue that stands out.

Although Zootopia 2 has earned over $1.47 billion globally—thanks to strong international sales and a particularly enthusiastic response in China—by the end of 2025, it still hadn’t surpassed the original Zootopia‘s $341.3 million in domestic box office earnings.

The new Marvel series, Wonder Man, is coming to Disney+ later this month. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, and Ben Kingsley returns as his Marvel Cinematic Universe character, Trevor Slattery. The series was created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest.

One thing about the X-Men announcement seemed odd to me. Popular characters from the previous X-Men movies, like Jean Grey, Storm, and Rogue, weren’t included. I initially assumed they were being kept secret for the plot of Avengers: Doomsday. But a recent update suggests there might be a more concerning reason for their absence.

After just three seasons, the show Suburgatory was canceled and disappeared from streaming platforms, causing it to fade from public memory surprisingly fast. Luckily, Tubi and The Roku Channel, along with the Howdy spinoff, have now added all three seasons. This revival gave creators and cast members a chance to revisit the show, focusing on a particularly memorable episode – the lavish and ambitious holiday episode, “Krampus,” from season two.
