According to Mubi, director Huang essentially asked them to stop showing his film. This came after Huang publicly criticized Mubi’s decision to accept $100 million in funding from Sequoia Capital. The investment, announced in May, sparked controversy because Sequoia had also invested in an Israeli defense company, Kela, following the attacks on October 7th and during the ongoing conflict in Gaza. In an Instagram post, Huang explained he wouldn’t promote his film unless Mubi dealt with the situation, stating, ‘We have to start saying ‘NO.’’ and that he wasn’t being overly sensitive about it.

This episode expertly brings together the two main groups from Fallout: New Vegas – groups who have been enemies for years – and also shows the Brotherhood of Steel starting to fall apart. The common thread throughout is humanity’s tendency towards conflict. Picking up where the last episode left off, Lucy is taken to the Legion’s main camp and meets Caesar, along with his second-in-command, Legate Lacerta, played by Macaulay Culkin. (It’s unclear what happened to Legate Lanius, but Culkin’s armor looks fantastic in live-action – great work by the costume designers!) The episode quickly establishes the Legion’s brutal nature when the woman Lucy saved is executed for letting her Legionary escape – a stark reminder of what happened in Nipton in New Vegas. The series faithfully recreates the Legion’s unique style, including repurposed American football gear as Roman armor, their use of Latin phrases, and their habit of calling Caesar “kai-sar.” And, unsurprisingly, they’re all a bit crazy.

Director Joseph Kosinski recently appeared on Deadline‘s Behind the Lens with Pete Hammond. Concept artist Wes Burt revealed they really spent a lot of time brainstorming different ways to visually represent her force fields and invisibility – they weren’t settling for the obvious, and I love seeing that kind of creative exploration.

New images from upcoming board and card games based on The Super Mario Galaxy Movie have given fans their first glimpse of Toad’s new look in the sequel. He has a slight design change from the first movie, including a light on his mushroom cap that longtime Mario fans will immediately recognize.
