For “Parasite,” it was simple to consider its success as a one-time occurrence. Since “No Country for Old Men” (another film premiered at Cannes), a genre movie hadn’t received the Academy’s top honor. Moreover, no South Korean film had previously been nominated, let alone won, the Best Picture award.
Combining its elements, it seems like the makings of a triumphant narrative. Regrettably, “Gunslingers” falls short of its genre’s peak. Persistent flaws persistently pull the film down, even at moments when we are about to be fully engaged. Among these flaws are some insecure acting performances for characters that lack depth. However, what is more aggravating is that nothing in the movie appears even remotely genuine – neither the characters, their relationships, nor the small-town setting where much of the plot unfolds.
It’s been exclusively confirmed that actor Williams is set to feature in the final episode of Season 7 on The CW’s football drama. In this role, Williams takes on the character of Eddie Blair, the Athletic Director at South Crenshaw High.
