In this role as a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that Omar Sy will be steering the course of an upcoming series, nestled within the same captivating universe as the Netflix film franchise. This intriguing production has been greenlit for eight compelling episodes by our beloved streaming colossus, Netflix. If you recall, the initial “Extraction” movie, featuring the mighty Chris Hemsworth, dropped on Netflix screens in 2020. Fast forward to 2023, and we saw Hemsworth reprising his role in the sequel. These action-packed films were adapted from the graphic novel “Ciudad” by Ande Parks.

The upcoming “9-1-1” spinoff, titled “9-1-1: Nashville,” is set in Tennessee and is expected to delve into the professional and personal lives of a first responder team, similar to the original series and “Lone Star.” Joining Murphy as executive producers for this new venture will be Angela Bassett, who plays a role in the main series. Additionally, Tim Minear, Rashad Raisani, and Brad Falchuk are also on board. Notably, Minear and Raisani will contribute to the series’ script alongside Murphy.

Amazon, in partnership with longtime James Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, have unveiled a new business collaboration. This collaboration will manage the ownership rights of the 007 franchise. In this agreement, all three parties share ownership, but Amazon MGM has been granted creative control over the franchise.

The scenes from “The Baldwins”, TLC’s latest reality series featuring Alec Baldwin, his wife Hilaria, and their seven children (excluding Ireland Baldwin), popped into my mind while watching it. They split their time between New York City and the Hamptons, but their focus seems to be elsewhere. The series portrays the various distractions they face, which is why it was made. In the past, reality TV might have been an unlikely choice for Baldwin, a highly respected actor of his generation, but recent events have changed that. From the first episode of “The Baldwins” (the only one sent to critics), it appears that Baldwin is not at his usual best, though he hasn’t quite hit rock bottom.

It’s been revealed solely by EbMaster that Kiana Madeira will join the cast of the series, along with previously announced stars Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek. The Disney-branded television program, initially greenlit for four episodes in December, is moving forward with its production.
