I’m hearing some interesting news out of DC Studios. Knight Edge Media is reporting they’ve trademarked the name “Salvation Run” – and they filed it just days after the Peacemaker Season 2 finale aired! While DC Comics already owns the rights to “Salvation Run” in the comic book world, it seems DC Studios is securing a separate trademark, likely for a potential movie – it could be live-action or animated, they haven’t specified yet. It definitely sounds like they’re developing something new based on that title, and I’m intrigued to see where they take it.

The movie Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc premiered in the U.S. on October 22nd and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. Rotten Tomatoes reports a 100% score from critics based on 14 reviews, and a 99% audience score, suggesting it’s a hit with viewers before its official release in the U.S. and Canada on October 24th. Critics are especially impressed with the film’s exciting action, stunning animation, and compelling story, noting its unique combination of emotional moments and intense, often shocking, action.

Warner Bros. announced on October 31st that it’s up for sale, and both Netflix and Comcast are believed to be potential buyers. A possible merger between Warner Bros. and Paramount has sparked worries about job losses and a reduction in the variety of new movies and shows, as a single, very large company could control a lot of content.

Jeremy Allen White, star of the show, recently told Vogue that they haven’t started filming Season 5 yet. He explained that while they filmed the last season finale in 2024, they also shot earlier episodes around that time, making it feel like a while ago.

I recently found out that Paul Rudd, who was just starting to become well-known back then, actually auditioned for a part in The Big Lebowski. Now I’m desperate to see that audition! It wasn’t for a main character like The Dude or Walter, but for the memorable and slightly awkward role of Brandt, which was brilliantly played by the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

At first, Gen V told its own separate story with only small connections to the larger plot of The Boys. But as the show has gone on, it’s become more and more connected to its parent series. As an example of this connection, Gen V has introduced a major character from The Boys.

Fans were understandably upset when CBS canceled two popular shows. Fortunately, the cancellations happened well before the final episodes, giving the writers a chance to create satisfying conclusions. While FBI: Most Wanted managed to deliver a strong finale, the final episode of FBI: International unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations.

To be honest, I still think the book is good, regardless. Even if the series is wrapping up in just two more issues, the storytelling feels focused and that’s not necessarily a problem. This issue, for example, effectively shows the main character preparing for the final showdown, and knowing this is truly the end actually makes the story more impactful—in a good way.

Critics haven’t been kind to Regretting You, giving it a low 19% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Reviews describe the film as messy, predictable, and overly complicated. Travis Hopson of Punch Drunk Critics summarized it by saying the movie tries to do too much with a weak script.
