Everyone’s talking about the Best Actor race, and right now, Timothée Chalamet seems like the one to beat. I was blown away by his performance in Marty Supreme – he really threw himself into the role of this intense table tennis player. It’s such a complex performance, showing this character’s ambition and drive, but also these really quiet, thoughtful moments. Honestly, it feels like exactly the kind of serious, dedicated work we’ve come to expect from Timothée, and it really sets him apart from other actors right now.

The previous two Thor movies weren’t very well-received, but Taika Waititi revitalized the franchise with Thor: Ragnarok, leaving fans excited for his next installment. Unfortunately, Love and Thunder didn’t quite reach the same heights, despite a strong opening scene, as the film lost momentum afterward.

However, his story in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms highlights how fragile alliances can be in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire world. Though the conflict between Lyonel and his companions doesn’t fully erupt until much later, it ultimately has a lasting and significant impact on Westeros.

The director’s new film proves they haven’t lost their touch, delivering both laugh-out-loud comedy and thrilling action. After a long absence, this movie is a fantastic return, and could easily be the best sci-fi film of 2026. At its heart, the story draws heavily on classic mythology.

We’re not saying shows like Stranger Things and Bridgerton aren’t great – they’ve definitely earned their popularity. However, Netflix truly shines with its limited series. These shows come with a clear vision, deliver it powerfully, and often leave a lasting impact, winning awards and critical praise.
