I Got Into The Diplomat Solely For Season 3’s Upcoming West Wing Reunion, But There Are Definitely Reasons I Should Have Been Watching Already

For me, watching The West Wing is like coming home to a familiar and comforting place. The sharp, rapid-fire dialogue crafted by Aaron Sorkin, brought to life by talented actors playing characters with noble intentions who strive to make the world a more positive place, is hard to beat. Although The Diplomat doesn’t quite match that level of idealism, it’s an exciting journey that I wish I had experienced sooner.

Why Taylor Swift Didn’t Cameo in The Vampire Diaries

During an interview regarding speculations about a possible Taylor Swift appearance on The Vampire Diaries, producer Julie Plec explained that they were approached by The CW about incorporating Taylor Swift into the show but declined because it wouldn’t fit with the show’s tone. She compared it to a scenario in 7th Heaven where Taylor could perform a free concert at school and make it seem realistic, but for The Vampire Diaries, such a cameo would feel out of place and disrupt the timeless atmosphere of the series, making it appear too modern. If she had known then what she knows now about her fondness for Taylor Swift, things might have been different. (paraphrased from ScreenRant)

Alien: Earth Recap: Bees Do It

Despite the television series, “Alien: Earth,” Noah Hawley delves deeper into concepts that were subtly suggested in the original “Alien.” While it’s arguable that his approach can sometimes feel heavy-handed, as he brings the underlying themes of the original more to the forefront. In this week’s episode titled “The Fly,” there are instances where the dialogues may seem overly direct and awkwardly inserted, as if Hawley was hurriedly trying to elucidate some key themes before the season’s conclusion.

Don’t Get Too Comfy, Love Island Games Is Back

Just like Love Island, the new version of the show focuses on the ex-contestants as they navigate relationships and avoid elimination in real life. Viewers can participate by voting through an app. Our reality TV pros might find this easy, but the reward is certainly worth it – the winning pair divides $100,000. Who will be vying for the grand prize this season?

I Loved Cringing My Way Through Friendship, But I Can’t Tell If I Completely Misunderstood Craig’s Story Or Not

In an impressive feat for a 2025 film, Andrew DeYoung’s “Friendship” manages to use Tim Robinson’s unique comic talent in an unexpected manner. Instead of his renowned work in cringe-comedy like “I Think You Should Leave,” he delves into a full-length movie reminiscent of “Fatal Attraction.” Remarkably, Robinson maintains his style without veering off course. His unusual portrayal is so compelling that it leaves me questioning whether I truly grasped the challenging film or found it too uncomfortable to watch.
