Though it only lasted three seasons starting in the late 1960s, Star Trek quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Reruns of the show were incredibly popular, becoming the highest-rated hour-long drama in syndication for twenty years. This success led to an animated series and a series of feature films, even bringing back the original actors. Eventually, Star Trek: The Next Generation became the first sequel to surpass the original series in syndication ratings. More movies and spin-offs followed, but the show faded from view until the studio needed a key program for its new streaming service. Throughout its history, Star Trek has repeatedly proven its resilience, succeeding despite often being underestimated by its own studio.

Though Black, Guzman, and Larson weren’t main characters on Community, they each left a lasting impression—Guzman’s character was particularly memorable! Black played Buddy, a classmate who wanted to join the study group, Larson was Abed’s love interest, and Guzman became known as the school’s most famous graduate. And, of course, Glover was one half of the iconic Troy and Abed. The biggest challenge with making the Community movie, however, was everyone’s busy schedules. Maybe we need to get creative to reunite the Greendale seven—perhaps a meeting in the Mushroom Kingdom—until we can officially bring them all back together.

The upcoming Spider-Noir series intends to introduce several well-known villains into live-action for the very first time, including characters like Sandman, Man-Spider, and Molten Man. But one of the most interesting additions is receiving little attention, even though it could lead to a fantastic story inspired by the comic books.

The show also stars Hassie Harrison (Yellowstone), Jessica Belkin, David Chokachi, and Thaddeus LaGrone. The story centers around Hobie’s daughter, Charlie, who unexpectedly arrives to work alongside the team and carry on the Buchannon family tradition. The series, consisting of twelve episodes, is scheduled to premiere during the 2026-2027 television season, so start preparing your red swimwear!

Netflix has dropped the official trailer for Season 3 of XO Kitty, giving fans a look at what’s coming up – including some surprising plot twists and a guest appearance by Lana Condor, reprising her role as Lara Jean Covey from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. Sharp-eyed viewers also noticed a detail in the trailer that might hint at a new development in Kitty and Min-Ho’s relationship.

As a huge movie and TV fan, I found this detail fascinating. Apparently, a guy named Cipriani was bragging about planting a story in The Hollywood Reporter about the conflict between Paramount and South Park. He claimed he actually saved Paramount a staggering $1.5 billion by controlling how the story was presented to the public. What’s even wilder is that after the article came out, he texted the Paramount executive, Shell, basically taking credit and suggesting he’d deliberately kept quiet until after publication so Shell could convincingly deny any involvement. Shell’s response? A simple, “I owe you dinner!” It just shows how much influence public perception can have, and how things get done behind the scenes in Hollywood.

Given the popularity of Diana Gabaldon’s books, it’s no shock that the series is getting a lot of buzz. However, it’s unusual for a show originally on Starz to also appear on Netflix, since most networks and streaming services want exclusive content. This might be why Outlander is now a top 10 trending show on Netflix worldwide – many people don’t subscribe to both platforms. Allowing Netflix to show the series could also benefit Starz, attracting new viewers and encouraging them to subscribe to Starz for the final season.

The first Star Wars movie, Episode IV – A New Hope, launched the hugely popular franchise we still enjoy today. This film and the two that immediately followed make up what fans call the Original Trilogy. Nearly 50 years have passed since Star Wars first appeared in theaters, and many generations have seen various versions of those original three films. While there’s always debate about details like who shot first, one change made to the classics was a clear improvement over the original releases.

Now, with Tulsa King gaining traction, he’s expanding that universe further, beginning with its first spinoff, Frisco King.
