Wouldn’t it be wonderful to witness another memorable stint by a future Big Brother contestant? Indeed. Wouldn’t it be thrilling to relive the intense battles that marked Season 10? Absolutely. While I’d be overjoyed to experience all of that in Season 27, if you were to inquire about my top desire, it would be the reintroduction of a classic feature that CBS’s reality show has been without for quite some time: culinary challenges.

As a movie enthusiast, allow me to express my admiration for the gripping television series, “Succession.” This show serves as an unsparing satire, masterfully depicting the elites at Waystar-Royco, who bear striking resemblances to the real-world oligarchs and tech titans wielding global influence. The narrative delves deep into the intricate tapestry of money, politics, and capitalism, critiquing its flaws, and shedding light on the sometimes staggering ignorance among these powerful individuals. Regrettably, series like “Succession” are few and far between, making it necessary for Jesse Armstrong to craft a worthy successor in the form of a feature film.

According to DeBlois, who wrote the screenplay for the 2002 film “How to Train Your Dragon“, he discussed expanding the movie’s mythology in the live-action adaptation, which is based on Cressida Cowell’s books. “What areas can we focus on to make it more engaging, develop the mythos further, or flesh out the characters and their relationships?” DeBlois questioned.

In the fresh trailer for “Dexter: Resurrection,” Michael C. Hall reprises his famous role as Dexter Morgan, who is back on the streets of New York City. Following a hospital awakening where he encounters his old Miami Metro partner, Angel Batista (David Zayas), who inquires about Dexter’s past as the Bay Harbor Butcher, Dexter flees. He then crosses paths with Uma Thurman’s new character, Charley, who presents him to Peter Dinklage’s Leon Prater, a man fascinated by serial killers. Alongside other suspected murderers portrayed by Eric Stonestreet, Krysten Ritter, David Dastmalchian, and Neil Patrick Harris, Dexter teams up with them. James Remar reappears as Harry, Dexter’s deceased father brought back to life in the story.

Michael C. Hall is set to reprise his role as the central character, the forensic blood splatter analyst/serial killer, following his appearances in eight seasons of “Dexter” and more recently providing narration for Season 1 of the prequel titled “Dexter: New Beginning.

The positive update is that two actors from Season 1 will play more significant roles in the upcoming season! According to Deadline, Patrick Walker and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim have been elevated from recurring characters to series regulars. It’s not too shocking that Walker received this promotion since Dr. TJ Coleman began receiving substantial storylines as the second half of the season unfolded. In both TV series, ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ and ‘Virgin River’, the leading ladies – Maggie and Mel respectively – abandon their demanding roles in healthcare and settle into peaceful countryside settings. Each encounters a rugged male counterpart who carries his own heart-wrenching past – Cal in ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ and Jack in ‘Virgin River’. Although these shows have distinct elements, author Robyn Carr is recognized for repeating similar storylines and characters in her novels. Consequently, it’s reasonable to assume that ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ will replicate the popularity of ‘Virgin River’. However, up until now, it hasn’t quite reached those peaks, and here are a few possible explanations for this discrepancy.

Although the cycle of series cancellations persists, there’s a glimmer of hope for fans yearning for a dark, intelligent, and definitively concluded fantasy series. A completed fantasy show, brimming with supernatural intensity and groundbreaking narrative, exists and does not leave its audience hanging. It spanned four seasons filled with daring ambition and miraculously concluded on a high note with a satisfying finale episode. Even more enticing, it’s readily available on Netflix and has earned an impressive 87% critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
