James Gunn is now involved in his second major DC Universe film, “Supergirl.” Although Craig Gillespie directed this one, Gunn’s style is clearly present. The first trailer showcases his signature touches – things like using popular songs in unexpected ways, a playful and often silly tone, and action sequences that are visually flashy and over-the-top.

Netflix has confirmed that Season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender will arrive on June 25, 2026. This is over two years after the show first launched on the streaming service in early 2024. Following the release of the first season, Netflix renewed the series for both Seasons 2 and 3, with Season 3 planned as the show’s finale. However, a release date for Season 3 hasn’t been announced yet.

Raine Allen-Miller’s first feature film, Rye Lane, which came out in 2023, was well-received by critics but didn’t become a big box office hit. Despite earning a very positive 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the delightful British romantic comedy didn’t get the widespread attention it deserved, potentially because Searchlight Pictures chose to release it directly on streaming in the U.S.

Both Robert Pattinson and Zendaya are poised for a huge 2026, starring in several major films—including three projects together. Experts predict that their films, Dune: Part Three and The Odyssey, will be among the year’s biggest box office successes when considering all theatrical releases.

I’m really excited – it looks like The Running Man is finally coming to Amazon Prime Video on April 17, 2026! For those who don’t know, it’s based on the Stephen King novel – actually, he wrote it under the name Richard Bachman back in 1982. This isn’t the first time it’s been adapted for the screen, though; there was a movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger back in 1987, but I’m eager to see this new take.
