Melissa Benoist portrayed Supergirl for six seasons on The CW’s Supergirl. Benoist’s Supergirl, along with Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow and Grant Gustin’s The Flash, formed the core heroic trio of the Arrowverse. She also acted alongside Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, before he starred in his own series, Superman & Lois. Now, five years after the final season of Supergirl aired, fans are creating art featuring Benoist as Supergirl for James Gunn’s new DC Universe.

Whether intentional or not, the movie’s portrayal of a character resembling Jeff Bezos is perfectly timed. Currently, Bezos and his partner are facing intense scrutiny regarding their ties to the fashion world. As co-chairs of tonight’s Met Gala – sponsored by Amazon – their involvement has sparked some controversy. Sources suggest Meryl Streep might skip the event because of Amazon’s sponsorship, and the activist group Everybody Hates Elon is calling for a boycott. Ultimately, all this attention will likely boost the already highly anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, so Jeff Bezos is inadvertently helping the film industry.

NBC has been licensing many of its shows to Netflix, and several have found significant success there. A prime example is Manifest, which NBC canceled but Netflix revived for a final season. That final season of Manifest was a hit, as have been other NBC shows like Blindspot and Person of Interest.

Nielsen recently shared data about how much Star Wars content fans watched in 2025, offering a look at the franchise’s most popular projects. Even though the sequel and prequel trilogies have divided audiences, Star Wars has remained popular for decades because of its expansive sci-fi universe, exciting adventures, and relatable characters. Much of the recent growth has happened on Disney+, with shows like the Western-themed The Mandalorian and the animated series Maul — Shadow Lord attracting large audiences.

When did you know you had made it in the reality-TV industry? 
I’m still trying to figure that out.
