Details about the plot of Spider-Man: Brand New Day haven’t been released yet, but the movie will feature connections to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s unusual for a movie series to start as merely okay and then become truly exceptional with each new installment. Typically, sequels are disappointing, but this franchise is a remarkable exception. Over nearly thirty years, it has grown into a major force in filmmaking, proving that a series can actually improve over time.
A fan account, @UnBoxPHD, recently shared the first photos of Mark Ruffalo on the set of the upcoming film in London. He was wearing a large green coat, probably to stay warm between shots, but also potentially to hide his costume. Notably, Ruffalo didn’t appear to have any motion capture markers on his face, hinting that he’ll be playing Bruce Banner in his human form for this scene. This is a change from his recent appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he’s mostly been playing the merged form of Bruce Banner and the Hulk – known as Smart Hulk – since Avengers: Endgame.
