Domination, the latest installment in the dark fantasy strategy RPG series *Disciples*, will be released in August 2025. It continues the story from 2021’s *Disciples: Liberation*, taking place fifteen years later.

Each game can only be featured in Steam Next Fest once, so you won’t see repeat demos from earlier this year. While some demos might remain on Steam after the event next week, that’s not a certainty. On October 13th, Eurogamer noted that the retailer Auchan listed a version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows for the upcoming Switch 2. While a release date wasn’t provided, the listing revealed it would be a “Game Key Card” – a physical format that’s received criticism because the game data itself isn’t on the card and must be downloaded online.

Gearbox Software revealed details at PAX Australia on October 11th about a new event in their game. In the game’s world, a holiday similar to Christmas, called Mercenary Day, is under threat from a villainous character. Players, as Rush and the vault hunters, must use weapons, explosives, and special abilities to set things right.

Players who pre-ordered Battlefield 6 through the EA App on PC experienced problems on launch day, October 10th, due to an app outage. As an apology, EA is giving these players 12 boosts that double their hardware XP and 12 boosts that double their career XP.
A new fighting game, currently called Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, was announced at a celebration of Avatar: The Last Airbender’s 20th anniversary during New York Comic Con. It’s planned to come out in the summer of 2026 and will initially include 12 characters you can play, with additional characters being added over time through regular updates.
Astronomers are puzzled by 3I/ATLAS, the third interstellar object discovered in our solar system. Detected earlier this year, it came from far outside our system and behaves strangely – it spins quickly, glows in an unusual way, and might even produce its own light. This has led to speculation that it could be a man-made object.
