The Sims 4 now sells fan-made content but EA pockets 70% of profits

For several years, EA has been slowly changing how players get new content in The Sims 4, moving towards a system where content is regularly purchased. They started by collaborating with players to create small content packs called Kits, then introduced larger Creator Kits. Now, they’ve expanded this further with Maker Packs – collections of items for designing Sims and building homes – available through a new in-game store called the Marketplace.
