As a big fan of BioWare, I’ve been really worried about the studio lately, and it sounds like my fears might be coming true. Polygon is reporting that a lot of industry analysts think BioWare could be sold off. They’ve had a tough time for the last ten years, and the recent Dragon Age game didn’t do well at all, which led to layoffs. The good news, if there is any, is that they’re still working on the next Mass Effect game with a smaller team, and that might actually attract some buyers. It’s just…sad to see it come to this.

This isn’t the first time Dead Space and Skate have teamed up – players could previously unlock a free Isaac Clarke skin in Skate 3. However, this new collaboration, which offers a costume for $35, has sparked discussion about buying items within games. Some players remember the original Skate 3 skin as a fun, free surprise, while this new paid option feels like a way to make money. Others think the costume’s intentionally ‘cardboard’ look is meant to resemble a Halloween outfit rather than a perfect copy of Isaac Clarke’s suit. Despite this possible design choice, many still feel the price is too high.

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, players can now choose the Lasombra Clan for free. Originally planned as downloadable content, the Lasombra offer unique abilities centered around shadow magic – known as Oblivion – without any additional cost.

In the past few years, improvements in game art and technology have been more gradual. This means games are staying visually appealing and enjoyable for a longer time, even after newer versions are released. A new gaming generation doesn’t automatically make older games obsolete anymore.

The new trailer showcases the voice actors for the main character, Phyre (both male and female versions), and Fabien, the detective who shares Phyre’s thoughts. It also highlights the voices of many other characters in the game’s Seattle-based vampire world. The voice cast features performers who have worked on popular games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Final Fantasy XVI, and Cyberpunk 2077, as well as in TV shows and movies.
