Bungie settles Destiny 2 Red War copyright lawsuit

In October 2024, author Martineau filed a lawsuit against the game developer, alleging they borrowed significant concepts, groups, and plot points from stories he’d written in 2013 and 2014 under the name Caspar Cole. He specifically pointed to resemblances with the Red Legion and elements that eventually showed up in the ‘Curse of Osiris’ expansion.

10 Games To Play If You Loved Alien: Earth

Okay, so as a gamer and sci-fi fan, it’s awesome to see Badlands really killin’ it – it’s made over $80 million worldwide, which makes it the highest-grossing Predator movie ever! And Alien: Earth? That series blew up on Disney+ and Hulu! The first two episodes alone got over nine million views in just six days, which is insane. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t!

Shiny Shoe CEO Mark Cooke explains why Monster Train needed a sequel instead of more DLC

I recently spoke with Mark Cooke, the founder and CEO of Shiny Shoe, about the current popularity of roguelike games. Shiny Shoe is well-known in the genre, having created two major hits in the last five years: Monster Train and its recently released sequel, Monster Train 2. Monster Train 2 has been incredibly well-received, earning praise from both players and critics since its launch in May. Thousands of people are currently playing the game on Steam, and many more are enjoying it on consoles. A lively online community is also actively discussing strategies and gameplay.

HoI4: The Great War – huge mod for Hearts of Iron IV updated to 0.25

In The Great War, players can begin their game in 1910. To support this earlier start date, the developers have added a lot of new content, including units, technologies, characters, national flags, sound effects, and historical events. The game also features a new map and several improvements to how it plays. Even though it’s currently version 0.25, it’s fully playable and offers many hours of engaging gameplay.

A forgotten pioneer of the first wave of modern stealth games. Syphon Filter is a true classic

As a long-time gamer, I remember being really excited when Sony released Syphon Filter. It was made by a team called Eidetic – I’ll tell you more about them in a bit – and it blew everyone away! It became a huge series with a really dedicated fanbase, and honestly, a lot of people still consider it a classic. It’s definitely worth revisiting to see what made it so special.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is great on Nintendo Switch 2, but what about and Switch 1?

I wasn’t thrilled with my initial experience of Fantasy Life on the Switch 2, but I’m already enjoying Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road on the same console. While the developers could still make some improvements, it’s definitely worth playing in handheld mode. Playing it docked is a different story if you have other platforms available. Level-5 had previously discussed the desired resolution and frame rate for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road on consoles and PC, and I suspected those would be goals rather than strict requirements. After playing the game on both Switch consoles, both docked and handheld, it seems I was correct.
