It’s common for video games to get canceled, especially large projects from major companies. Often, these cancellations are never publicly announced, and the games are never released. We saw this earlier this year with Xbox and Microsoft canceling both the Perfect Dark remake and the survival game Everwild. However, even smaller independent studios face this issue – one of my most-awaited indie titles, Earthblade from the Celeste developers, was recently canceled. While it’s disappointing when this happens, there’s always a chance the team might revisit the idea or create something new in the future.
