During a recent press conference, as GamesRadar reported, Crystal Dynamics’ Will Kerslake discussed how they’re handling the difficulty of the original PlayStation 1 game. The developers announced that their game, Horses, earned $65,000 in revenue. This allowed Santa Ragione to pay back its loans and the royalties owed to Andrea Lucco Borlera, who created the game. While this is good news, the team doesn’t have enough funds yet to start developing a new game.

Recent discussion sparked around the developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 and their use of AI tools, particularly after their announcement of a new Divinity game at last week’s Game Awards. Larian Studios’ creative director, Simon Vincke, responded to reports with a detailed social media post, strongly stating they aren’t trying to replace artists with AI. He clarified that they hire artists for their skills, but allow them to explore AI tools to potentially simplify their workflow. Essentially, AI is being used as a helper, not a replacement.
