Catch One Second of Travis Kelce in the Grotesquerie Trailer

As a dedicated cinephile with over three decades of film-watching under my belt, I can confidently say that Ryan Murphy’s latest foray into the horror genre, “Grotesquerie,” has piqued my interest like no other. Having witnessed the evolution of his storytelling prowess from the early days of “Nip/Tuck” to the more recent, intricate tapestries woven in the “American Crime Story” and “American Horror Story” franchises, I am eagerly anticipating what this new series will bring.

In simpler terms, Ryan Murphy is producing another horror TV show on FX. The title of this series is “Grotesquerie,” and one of its stars is Travis Kelce. Be sure to look out for a quick glimpse of him in the preview!

The Murphy-verse is expanding

23rd February, 2024:

In a seemingly casual conversation over the phone, she expresses an unsettling sense of change: “I’m struggling to pinpoint it, but things feel distinctly different now.” She continues, describing a palpable shift as if a window to the void was being opened in our world. The horrors she witnessed today were so profound that psychological support was provided to everyone involved with the crime scene.

Nash-Betts has already demonstrated expertise in thwarting the villains of Murphy’s world, such as the Red Devil and Jeffrey Dahmer, having collaborated with the accomplished producer on shows like “Scream Queens” and “Monster,” the latter garnering her an Emmy Award. Similarly, Courtney B. Vance secured an Emmy for his portrayal of Johnnie Cochran in another Murphy-led project, “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.”

Travis Kelce scores a role

2024-05-08: You know, I’ve been following Ryan Murphy’s projects closely, and it seems that football isn’t just his professional interest. The star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce, has stepped into acting for the first time in a major role, joining the cast of “Grotesquerie”. This exciting news was confirmed by Niecy Nash-Betts on May 7th, sharing a video that appears to have been taken on set. In her caption, she wrote, “When champions connect! Welcome to Grostequerie, @killatrav!”

Later on, Kelce posted the video on his Instagram Story with the caption, “Entering a fresh realm with one of the greats!” Although we’re yet to learn about his personality, it seems he’s capable of creating some intense, frightening expressions. Don’t you remember those coach-devouring memes?

Kelce’s making plays

On July 10, 2024: It’s confirmed that Kelce appeared on the set of Grotesquerie. Photos with him have been shared on Instagram by crew members recently, as reported by People. However, it appears that Kelce has been working on this project for several months, even discussing his experience in his podcast, New Heights, back in May. On that show, he admitted feeling out of his depth and unsure, but still holding onto his job. He revealed he has a significant role in the show, yet Murphy seems to be confident he can pull it off. During an interview on Good Morning America on June 6, Kelce mentioned that the role is proving to be an enjoyable challenge for him. So, we’ll have to wait and see if his performance will result in a successful outcome later this year.
