This time, our hero encounters an unprecedented draconic adversary. The show’s director, Samuel Deats, shared this information on his social media platform and hinted at the development stage, encouraging fans to lend their support as the team completes the season’s animation.
Right after the debut of Castlevania: Nocturne’s first season on Netflix, they swiftly greenlit a second one. Details about what we could expect from this upcoming season were scarce following its announcement. However, Netflix confirmed that production had commenced when the trailer for the new season dropped in October 2023. Despite the lack of information regarding its development, Deats gave us an update on his Twitter account on August 12th, 2024. As a long-time fan of the Castlevania series, I can say that the news about the completion of the animation process for Season 2 of Castlevania: Nocturne has me both excited and cautious. Having followed the show since its inception, I know that even though the animation is done, there’s still work to be done during post-production. But as someone who’s been eagerly waiting for more adventures in the world of Castlevania, I can’t help but feel hopeful. With Netflix’s Geeked Week coming up on September 16th, 2024, there’s a chance we might get another update about the show. However, I take this information with a grain of salt and remain optimistic that we’ll hear more about Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 in the near future.
