Cardboard cutout of YouTuber MoistCr1TiKaL goes viral for modelling clothes on Depop

A Depop seller is getting a lot of attention online for creating a mannequin that looks like popular YouTuber MoistCr1TiKaL.

Depop is a mobile app where people buy and sell clothes and accessories, especially used, vintage, and trendy streetwear. It works like a personal online store where users can post pictures and descriptions of items they’re selling.

Most Depop listings include photos of the clothing, often with close-ups to show details. However, one seller took things to the next level by using a cardboard cutout of popular YouTuber Charlie ‘MoistCr1TiKaL’ White in their photos.

And it’s actually helped them make a couple of sales.

Cardboard cutout of MoistCr1TiKaL goes viral on Depop

On March 24th, a user named ‘leahetc_’ shared a screenshot online showing a cardboard cutout of MoistCr1TiKaL wearing clothes in a store.

The seller, Rebekah (known as ‘ohwomp’), is listing many items featuring the MoistCr1TiKaL cutout.

I’ve had some luck selling stuff using that YouTuber mannequin! So far, I’ve sold a cute navy polka dot babydoll top for $17, and a green tank top from Wild Fable for just $2. It’s a start, anyway!

There are all sorts of other clothing items listed, too, for various prices.

With the X post going viral, it’ll be interesting to see if the seller ends up making more money.

It’s happened before: creators finding their image used to sell products without their permission. Last year, TikTok personality Kelsey Kotzur was surprised to find cardboard cutouts of herself being sold on popular platforms like Etsy and Walmart.
