‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Teases Epic Showdown Between Red Hulk and Anthony Mackie’s Cap in New Trailer

As a seasoned cinephile who’s been around since the golden age of Marvel movies, I must say that the new “Captain America: Brave New World” trailer has me more than just a little excited! The fact that Anthony Mackie is reprising his role as Sam Wilson/Captain America is already a win, but add Harrison Ford as U.S. President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and you’ve got a recipe for cinematic greatness.

Cap is back… again!

At the inaugural D23 Brazil fan gathering on a Saturday, Marvel revealed the brand-new trailer for “Captain America: New World Order”. The actors Anthony Mackie (depicting Sam Wilson/Captain America) and Danny Ramirez (as Joaquin Torres/Falcon) attended to welcome fans before the new trailer was screened.

The movie features Mackie playing Sam Wilson, Harrison Ford portraying U.S. President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, Ramirez taking on the role of the new Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Shira Haas as the Israeli superhero Sabra, Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, and Tim Blake Nelson as the Leader.

Mackie assumed the role of Captain America from Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, who was the star in the previous three Captain America films and four Avengers movies. At the conclusion of “Avengers: Endgame” (2019), Steve said goodbye to his superhero comrades and traveled back in time for a fresh start with his beloved Peggy Carter. He passed on his legendary vibranium shield to Sam, who pledged to uphold the legacy of the esteemed hero.

For the first time, Marvel enthusiasts witnessed Sam adopting the Captain America role on the Disney+ TV series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” Here, Sam joined forces with Sebastian Stan’s character, the antihero Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier, to combat a band of terrorists. The series garnered acclaim from both fans and critics, earning five Emmy nominations as well.

“Captain America: A Fresh Journey” portrays Sam, whereupon Ross proposes a captivating proposition. Ross intends to recruit Captain America as an American agent. Sam harbors doubts, yet before he can reach a conclusion, the hero is compelled to thwart an assassination attempt at the White House. Furthermore, character Ross will metamorphose into the Red Hulk, a gamma-exposed creature similar to Ross’ alternate persona in Marvel comics.

In a natural and easy to read manner, Julius Onah is the director of the movie “Captain America: Brave New World,” which was penned by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton. This film will premiere in theaters on Valentine’s Day, 2025.
