Yesterday marked the beginning of Destiny 2’s Year of Prophecy with The Edge of Fate expansion, leaving some fans in awe due to its substantial download size – approximately 140 GB! But fear not, this hefty update is brimming with fresh content. The developers have introduced new types of adversaries, breathtaking locations, and enticing equipment for us to explore. Plus, there are a host of new quests to conquer, some challenging, others a bit puzzling. Today, let’s delve into a quest from the latter category: Dark Academia. Stuck on this mission? Here’s a guide to help you progress!
How to progress the Dark Academia quest in Destiny 2?
In Destiny 2’s “The Edge of Fate”, Dark Academia serves as one of the optional missions. To access it, you need to advance through the game first. Upon reaching the designated spot on your map, you will notice a sealed door. Therefore, the primary task at hand is to unlock and open it initially.
- You will do this by destroying three blue-glowing elements. The first one is located next to the door. The last two are a little further – hidden behind green shields that you can destroy by using morph.
- At the end you must use Matterspark to power up the pylon, located next to the door.
Here’s where things typically kick off. Upon entering, you’ll notice a globe. To start your journey, simply interact with it. Unfortunately, for some players, the adventure won’t advance beyond this point. It might appear as if there’s a glitch, but in reality, the game demands very precise actions to finish this task effectively.
After you’ve completed step 22 of the “The Edge of Fate” campaign, new elements will become accessible in Dark Academia following a conversation between Ikora and Lodi. It is essential to note that in order to proceed with Dark Academia, you should ensure no other quests are ongoing. Therefore, be sure to wrap up any missions you’ve started before diving into Dark Academia.
