Cannes Prizewinner Anasuya Sengupta, BAFTA Breakthrough Actor Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy Lead Tulsea’s New Talent Roster (EXCLUSIVE)

As an ardent admirer of the vibrant and dynamic world of Indian cinema, I find myself utterly captivated by the recent expansion of Tulsea, a talent and content management company that has consistently demonstrated its knack for nurturing exceptional talent. The addition of such esteemed personalities as Anasuya Sengupta, Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy, Ahilya Bamroo, Daniel Caltagirone, and Anjum Batra to their roster is a testament to the company’s discerning eye for talent that shines brightly amidst the noise.

Tulsea, a renowned talent and content management firm based in India, has broadened its team with notable additions like Anasuya Sengupta. This actress made history as the first Indian actor to receive the Best Actress award at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard category for her exceptional performance in “The Shameless,” a film directed by Konstantin Bojanov.

Emerging talent Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy, who was recently recognized as a BAFTA Breakthrough Artist for 2024, is now signing with the agency. This decision comes after her impressive directorial and acting debut in the Kannada film “Aachar & Co.” Previously, Murthy has been featured in Netflix productions such as “Brahman Naman” and “Better Life Foundation.

The latest cast additions feature Ahilya Bamroo, who made her debut opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the movie “I Want to Talk” directed by Shoojit Sircar, and Daniel Caltagirone, a British actor who portrayed the villain in the Tamil-language action film “Thangalan” directed by Pa Ranjith. Both Ahilya Bamroo and Daniel Caltagirone are jointly managed by Independent Talent Agency (U.K.).

Actress Anjum Batra, known for her roles in Imtiaz Ali’s Netflix film “Amar Singh Chamkila” and the series “Mamla Legal Hai,” has also become a part of the agency. In addition to these works, she is also recognized for her performances in films like “Dev D,” “83,” and “Jersey.

Tulsea’s partner and co-founder Chaitanya Hegde stated, “We’re attracted to actors who possess a unique identity and whose talent outmatches the commotion in the industry. In an era dominated by excessive marketing and shallow values, it’s refreshing to collaborate with performers dedicated to their craft and displaying exceptional work ethic. These are artists, not just actors, motivated by passion and authenticity. We’re excited to have this outstanding ensemble of actors join our team and can’t wait to be a part of their inspiring careers.

The current lineup of the company features Shefali Shah (from “Delhi Crime”), Neeraj Kabi (of “Sacred Games”), Neil Bhoopalam (known for “NH10”), Danesh Razvi (“A Suitable Boy”), Karan Pandit (“The Hungry”), Guneet Singh Sodhi (“Laal Singh Chaddha”) and Sanghmitra Hitaishi (“Dahaad”).

Founded about ten years ago, Tulsea encompasses a diverse range of artistic talents spanning multiple domains such as authors, filmmakers, visual artists, musicians, editors, producers, fashion designers for cinema, video game creators, and hairstylists and makeup artists.
