For the 64th edition of Cannes’ Critics Week, which focuses on debut and early-career films, they have revealed the official poster and secured a fresh partnership with the French clothing brand, Ami, as their new sponsor.
In this rephrased version, the red-and-purple poster displays the lead actress from Alexis Langlois’ movie “Queens of Drama,” which is about pop divas, performing on stage while wearing a striking fur coat. This film, sold globally by Charades, premiered last year during Critics Week and served as Langlois’ debut in feature films. He is a renowned French music video director.
This version aims to maintain the original meaning while making it more accessible and easier to read.
Langlois belongs to a vibrant group of emerging filmmakers who are injecting fresh vitality into the cinematic art, as noted by the Critics Week, which serves to spotlight such talents as they embark on their global debuts. This selective showcase is orchestrated by esteemed artistic director Ava Cahen.
For this 64th installment, Ami – a chic French fashion label – will make its debut as the newest partner for Critics Week, taking over from Nespresso in that role.

Ami, known for supporting several distinguished auteur films lately, was established by Alexandre Mattiussi, its creative director. He’s passionate about promoting daring cinema and nurturing emerging filmmakers.

He finds the Grand Prix AMI Paris during the Critique’s Week a wonderful platform to honor upcoming artists and directors. He and AMI feel privileged to offer this Prize, as it fosters creativity among these talents and aids them in establishing their careers,” said Mattiussi.
This year, a global panel will bestow The Grand Prize AMI Paris upon one of the seven films vying for it. The Critics’ Week at Cannes is set to unfold from May 14th to the 22nd, taking place at the Espace Miramar.
